Fees and booking

Fees:

My face-to-face and online counselling sessions cost £60 per session. I will provide more information about payment methods during our initial conversation.

I do understand that financial circumstances can vary, and I am happy to discuss the availability of concessionary rates for clients with a low income. Please feel free to enquire about this during our initial conversation.

I look forward to hearing from you. I will always endeavour to respond to your email or phone call within 24 hours.

Our first session:

If you are looking for a counsellor I understand you may have lots of questions. Before we agree to work together, I offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation so that you can find out more about me and my practice to help you to decide if I am the right counsellor for you to work with. Please contact me by phone or email to arrange a date and time for us to have this phone conversation. Thank you.

Paid counselling sessions will only begin if we both agree to proceed with working together.

Once we have decided to begin working together, we will agree a regular day and time to meet. I will also take some information about you to ensure your safety and well-being. Each counselling session will last for 50-minutes.

If our sessions are going to be in person, I will confirm the full address of my therapy room. I offer sessions in Heaton Moor on Tuesday evenings between 6.30pm to 9.30pm and sessions in my therapy room in the centre of Stockport on Thursdays between 9am-3pm.

If our sessions are going to be online, I will provide information about the meeting platform we will use and how to join our online sessions.

Before beginning our first session we will discuss, agree and sign a working agreement so that we are both clear about what we can expect from each other and understand the boundaries for our work together.

I offer both short term and longer-term counselling. From the start of our work together, we will agree an initial number of counselling sessions. We will also agree a date to review this to decide together whether to bring our work to a planned end or to further extend our sessions.

Please do get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.
